In 1975 in the Brisbane Competition.Calder Won the Rothmans Medal when playing for the Northern Suburbs Devils.

Steve Calder played for Norths Devils in the Brisbane comp and after retiring was a coach at Illawarra and Brisbane Broncos

Steve Calder won the Rothmans medal in Brisbane for the Best Player
