Wonderful player in a great era of Rugby League in Brisbane.

Marty Scanlan was captain of the Valleys football team when they won the Brisbane Rugby League competition in 1973 and 1974. In those days the crowds for big games in the BRL were as big as what the Broncos get now, despite the population of Brisbane being half the size.

A very underrated footballer by representative selectors but not by Diehard fans, he should have played many more times for Queensland.
