Biography

Great Britain goal-kicking, utility back started his career with York in 1986. After moving to Castleford in 1989 Ellis came to Australia for the Crushers’ debut season before returning to England to play for Bradford, Halifax, Keighley and Hunslet in quick succession. He was later the coach of Doncaster. He died suddenly of a heart attack, aged 41, whilst training before Christmas 2005.
