Biography
Former St George player met his future wife on the Dragons' end of season trip to Hawaii in 1991. Niu went on to play RL in America where the code has struggled for recognition. After playing in France in 1991-92 and for Bramley in 1992-93 Niu represented the American Patriots in the Second 'Test' against Canada at Lake Placid in 1994. In the decade since he has acted as Chief Executive of the American Rugby League and was behind the move that led to World Champions Australia play an international match again the USA Tomahawks in Philadelphia at the end of 2004.
