    Captain-Coached the Junee Diesels in Group 9 in 1964 to the clubs first ever premiership.

    Played with the June’s Diesels in 1964 under coach Don Furner. Won the comp. and lifted the Maher Cup from Cootamundra. What a great coach!

    Passed away on 24 February 2020.

    Don furner coached Tumbarumba in group 20 from 1960 to 1963. Won the premier ship in 1960 defeating Yenda in a replay after the first the scores ended up 2 all the week before after 6 inches of rain hit the Riverina and the Narrandera sports ground became a quagmire. Tumbarumba were runners up in 1961 & 1962 under Furners Coaching.Furner left Tumbarumba at the end of1963.
