he played a total of 352 games for Hull, scoring 250 tries. In his 213 games for Hull K.R. he scored 118 tries.

it,s amazing the man played rugby league at all considering the operations he had but when he was fit and ready to go he was one player who led by example a good captain and leader also a top level performer for club and country one of the best of his time and i.m sure an inspiration to other players that emerged in the game after him always remember the hull flyer by gum
