Match Notes
15 minutes into the second half, Toowoomba captain V. Birmingham took offence to the referee cautioning his side for repeated infringements and gave him "a slight push". He was immediately sent off. After pausing, he left the field, but so too did his team mates in protest. Toowoomba coach Herb Steinohrt came onto the field and after a brief chat with the players, they returned to the field.
