Match Notes
Early in the morning prior to this game, the Italian squad, staying at a Lezignan hotel, were fortunate to escape major flooding as they were on a night out near the Spanish border. At 1.30am on the 13th of November, a wall of water destroyed the ground floor of the hotel where they would have been. Italy coach Craig Salvatori said "I'm just glad I made the trip compulsory."
