Match Notes
Midway through the 2nd half Les Cubit was awarded a field goal by the referee some sections of the crowd believe the ball did not go over the crossbar and hooted the referee. The scoreboard attended did not believe the goal was awarded and didn't change the scored so the game finished with the scoreboard reading 7 - 5 to Easts. After the game the referee had to clarify he had awarded the field goal and the true score was 9 - 5 to Easts.
