Biography
Former Souths ball-boy, the son of premiership-winning halfback Frank Brogan, went on to become a courageous halfback, centre and five-eighth with the Rabbitohs. Graded as a 16-year-old, Brogan was a centre in the club's 1949 grand final loss to St George. In 1951 he took on a captain-coach role with Cooma and led Monaro against France. After returning to Souths Brogan saw out his playing career at Port Macquarie before serving as treasurer of the Souths club.
