Biography
Souths winger played in the Rabbitohs team that recaptured the premiership in 1950. Smailes also played for the club in the 22-12 loss to Wests in the 1952 grand final.

A wonderful defence player.and a good man..my question is ..is Cliff still alive..

Played a full season on the wing in 1st grade and not one opposing winger scored a try against him. A great tackler and a greater human being.
