I remember Bill Yoemans being the Captain-Coach of the Maitland NSW side in 1965, I grew up in Maitland NSW and would regularly follow the Maitland side in the Newcastle Rugby League Competition.

I thought Bill Yoemans as a player was a very quick winger and he was also a good leader as he led Maitland to win the 1965 Newcastle Rugby League Competition.

There was some great Rugby League Players playing in the Newcastle District in the 1960s and 1970s and Bill was one that stood out amongst his peers.

Bill Yeomans was our PE teacher when I started at Birrong Boys High School in 1964, so ball skills featured high on our PE activities.

I stumbled on this entry when aimlessly surfing for information concerning old school friends and wonder if Bill was the same one that attended that fine academy Homebush Boys High School leaving at the end of 1959.

I remember Bill from 1963 when he was a teacher at Birrong Boys High School NSW. He was also the coach of the 8stone 3lbs team of which I was a member. He was a great bloke.

I remember Bill as a teacher at Birrong Boys High school in Sydney. He was also the coach of the 8 stone 3pound school rugby league team of which I was a part. A really nice guy who obviously loved his rugby league and yes he was a very quick winger in an era that had several very fast guys.
