What a wonderful man, both on and off the field.Uncle Bruce was one of natures true gentleman. So sad that he has passed away...he was one of those that you wished would live forever.Such a funny man...some of the tricks he had played on us when we younger.I will remember Uncle Bruce forever. R.I.P.Uncle Bruce (Larpa) Stewart.

The Bruce Stewart that played in the 1970 NSW Country Vs NSW City team came from Wagga Magpies R.L.F.C.
Very fast , elusive Centre / Winger tryscorer in the Group 20 and the rebel Murrumbidgee R.L. competition
Represented Riverina vs Great Britain at Wagga Wagga in 1970 and on a number occasions. Member of Wagga Magpies R.L.F.C. 1967 Premiership team. Played in the 1970 or 1972 Australian World Cup trial.

I do remember playing against Bruce (larpa) Stewart in a reserve grade fixture at Belmore Oval in 1968 when with Canterbury Bankstown! He gave us a few problems as well!
He liked to chime into the back line from the blind side wing.
