Great player,great under the ball,a great returner of the ball,never put a foot wrong,dont know why he never played more 1st grade

I remember Laurie playing for Parramatta ,was a fantastic player,never dropped a ball,unfortunately had K Thornett at the club at the same time,Laurie was a class player,of small stature,and always had a smile for the kids (us) and autograph,wish i still had it.

I went to school with Laurie. Played junior cricket He was a natural sportsman. Haven’t seen him for 60 years. We best catch up some time soon. Best wishes Brian Johnston
