Poor old Russ copped the worst bagging I have ever seen in Rugby League Week May 15th 1972 in an article by Ferris Ashton and in the game report.Have a read if you can source it. A great servant of the game becoming a development officer in W.A. I named my oz-tag team in his honour "The Devonshires".
