Donald Colquhoun was the player of the generation and it was sad to see him leave the games to raise a family, he could have been one of the greats.

    Don Colquhoun: The Lion-Hearted Prop

In the land of league, where legends rise,
Stands Don Colquhoun, beneath the skies.
A prop of grit, with a heart so bold,
A story of strength in green and gold.

From country roots to the mighty stage,
He played the game with timeless rage.
For South Sydney’s pride, he’d fiercely toil,
His boots engrained in the red-dirt soil.

Shoulders broad, a wall in defence,
    A driving force, immense, intense.
With every hit, the crowd would cheer,
    A warrior’s spirit, crystal clear.

In scrums, he pushed with thunder’s might,
An anchor strong in the fiercest fight.
Through mud and pain, through win or loss,
Colquhoun stood tall, a league’s colossus.

Beyond the field, his legacy stays,
A man of honor in rugby’s maze.
For those who watched, for those who played,
The mark of Don will never fade.

So here’s to Don, the mighty man,
A rugby league hero, an Aussie clan.
His name etched deep in the game’s rich lore,
    A champion remebered forevermore. ?????
