Son of South & Wests player and coach Jack Walsh along with brother Garry came through Enfield Federals juniors to played lower grades at Wests. He moved to Easts in 1967 where he has a successful 1st grade career and was a member of Enfield Federals Team of the Century.

    sid and his brother john both played for wests and both coppers

    This is not correct. His brother was Gary and was not a policeman. His father was John "Duck" Walsh who played for Douths and Wests
