Doug Lucas came across to England and played 2 games for Castleford RLFC in the 75/76 season. I remember him having long hair. I believe he was on a holiday visiting Europe and arrived and left with little fanfair. He was a forward and made a big impression on me for his robust style, leaving opposition players scattered whenever he took the ball in and battered and bruised when he tackled them.

Played for Kurri Kurri in the Newcastle league after his Sydney career. I remember watching him play at Cessnock and he was somewhat of a legend bowling over defenders as he ran.
