Appeared in two major finals for widnes, 1983 Premiership and 1983 John Player final in which he scored the opening try. Versatile utility back appearing on both wings and in both centre berths. Scored twice on his first team debut for widnes against castleford in 1983 followed up by a try against Hull on his home debut. Solid defender and good finisher. Played 79 first team games for widnes and scoring 100 points. Well respected professional and good clubman. Ended his career at Swinton.
