David LOWDEN - Cumbria/Workington probably related to Syd LOWDEN , Whitehaven captain when they beat the Aussies in 1956. He was also wing/full back. My mother Ellen Lowdon was his cousin( I think) My shirt number was 3, sorry but the XV a side code.

Syd and I played cricket together on The Green at Bransty Whitehaven. We were only youngsters but even then Syd was very competitive. Liked him a lot.
