    I was living in Moresbyy from 1970 to 1975. My favourite local players were Kovora Posu and Guba John. John Chook Flynn and Denis McCulloch were the pick of the expatriate players of that era in my opinion.
    My last game I saw in Moresby was PNG verses England.Very good game with Pagas five eight, Billy Phillips the best on the field., and Shaun Dawney very good also.

    Kavora posu passed away peacefully in his sleep yesterday at Gerehu Stage2, 2nd October 2025.
