    A great finisher of the game. . All going well he could next season become the highest try scorer for Souths (Bernie Wearing 144 tries, Merritt now on 129 tries). He now joins Mario Fenech on 181 games for Souths and could be challenging Eric Simms (206 games) and Craig Coleman (208 games) to be second behind only Bobby McCarthy on 211 games after 2013.
