    Steve Day was a awesome player. Tough as nails. Played against him and with him in the Cairns District Rugby League competition in late 80s early 90s.
    I loved the way he played the game, hard but fair.
    Ran into him couple of months ago at my cousin John Preeces funeral.
    I enjoyed and preferred playing with him than against him. Top bloke to boot. Cheers
