What an incredible player for Cronulla nsw and Australia. He has all the skills plus he is tough uncompromising and loyal. These are rare skills a once in a lifetime champion.

There are a few comments about Gal having the worst win-loss ratio of any player. I think that would be based on the number of games played. On pure percentages I reckon there would be a few blokes from the old days with Norths or Newtown or Parramatta with far worse percentages than that. Less just be fair. In any event if you were fighting in the trenches, you could do far worse than have Paul Gallen next to you. A man among men.

I’m a 65year old Queenslander & I would put Gallan at the top of the tree as a league player.
I will admit in state of origin he played his heart out for NSW. Im just happy i never had to tackle him. Without doubt he deserves to be an immortal in rugby league. I’ll give the big man another boost he turned into a professional boxer and beat all to be Australia champion. Everyone were laughing but he proved all wrong. I’ve only met the big man three times & he is just a gentleman. Off the paddock or out of the ring he is a dinky die Aussie.
