Biography
Talented halfback, originally from Condoblin, joined Balmain (with country team-mate Larry Corowa) after stints with Woden Valley and Queanbeyan Kangaroos in the Group 8 competition. Knight represented NSW Country - and the Monaro team that defeated Great Britain in 1977 – but his Sydney career was plagued by injuries and fitness issues. A tough, clever competitor Knight returned to Canberra to play with the Raiders in the formative years of the club.

Amazingly skilful and enigmatic player. Had that magic to conjure a try from nothing. Like an Ella looked slow but was amazingly fast when it was required a zip and a step and a style that is sadly missed in the defence oriented NRL. Great player and exciting to watch.

I had the joy of playing a few games with Percy. He made me look like I could play.He inspired confidence and certainly made me a better player. If Percy was out injured, you could feel it throughout the team.Always a good friend to me.Be seeing you Percy.
