A tall red-headed lock who played for Lane Cove Tigers juniors and graduated to First Grade. John once scored 4 tries in one game for Norths at North Sydney Oval against Balmain (?) mid 70s.

John Long grew up in Naremburn & went to St Pius x College at Chatswood & played Rugby League for Lane Cove. There were a group of local kids . Who played touch footy on Friday nights at Beauchamp Park . Also on Sunday afternoons. John Adam & Ken Potter also played touch footy & both played with Norths. John is a nice guy.
