Biography
Woy Woy fullback was brought to the Eels by lower grade coach John Monie in 1981. Steve McKenzie played in the club's maiden grand final win over Newtown but was demoted to the lower grades the following year before taking on a captain-coach position on the South Coast.

Unsung hero of Parra maiden premiership. Slippery customer, reliable at the back. We always wanted him at Newtown but he was loyal to Eel.
