Biography

Murwillumbah forward, a country rep in 1984 and 1986, played for Salford in 1984-85 before joining Newcastle club Lakes United. Brokenshire then moved to Manly in 1987 but staked his reputation as a mature, experienced prop with C’bury in the early 1990s. At age 34, he was the oldest player on the field in the 1994 grand final but retired after the Bulldogs’ loss to Canberra.

The most loyal member of the "prop forwards' union" - 103 games of hit ups, tackles and softening up for the glory seekers to score the points. GOLD!

I thought he was born in 1960
    Great bloke
Grew up in Newcastle playing for Cardiff and Western Suburbs.
Only player from that age group to make the big time....along with Sterlo ( who had moved to Sydney) of course and Dominic Vaughan ( wallabies )
