Michael captained the St George under 23 side to a SCG GF victory in 85 before backing up for the winning reserve grade side -tragically Saints couldn't make it all 3 wins on the day with 1st grade losing - i have a great photo of him holding the Premiership trophy . He is the son of Maurice who at 18 played 10 first grade games for Parramatta mater before carving out a legendary career in the bush mostly with Eugowra in Group 11 (alongside Ian Walsh for a time) Maurice passed away in June 2023 after a short illness aged 87
