Leo came to Hawkesbury Agricultural College from Flinders Island, TAS. He played First Grade Rugby for HAC in Sydney Metro 2nd Division as a centre. HAC were unbeaten in 1968 with Keith Moses kicking a drop goal to win the Grand Finaj. I watched Leo play for Saint George reserves a few times. Leo could shear and later became a well known shearing contractor on Flinders Island. My cousin and her husband ran sheep on Flinders Is. They told me about Leo and his importance to the Island..
