Biography
Port Kembla winger represented NSW in 1937 before being chosen on the Kangaroo Tour. 'Saus' Hazelton made one Test appearance on tour, against NZ at the tour’s first port of call, and scored two tries in Australia’s 12-8 win. He played in 15 other minor games in England and France before joining St George in 1939. Hazelton scored 17 tries in his first season, but the advent of WWII curtailed his rep career. He later returned to play with Port Kembla after the war. Hazelton passed away in 1985, aged 68, after collapsing on the way home from watching a St George v. I’warra match.
