Biography
Former Newtown forward left the club after the opening rounds of the 1937 season to play for Cooma. The move to the bush was a success, with MacLennan being selected for Country, NSW and the 1937-38 Kangaroos. He played in 16 minor matches on tour and following his return to Australia, played for Newtown intermittently during the war years. MacLennan was the prop partner to club captain 'Bumper' Farrell's in the club's grand final win over Norths in 1943.
