Biography

Tough hooker, the nephew of former Australian Test rake Horrie Watt, played in Balmain's grand final wins in 1939 and 1944. Watt moved to Easts in 1945 and playing against his former club in the 22-18 win over Balmain in the final. He represented Australia in all three Tests against Great Britain the following year but moved to Booroowa in 1947. Watt continued his career in the NSW side before going to England to play for Hull in 1948. He captained the club during his five seasons there before returning to Australia for a final season with Balmain in 1954.
