Biography

Dashing winger, a professional beach sprint champion with 12 Australian sprint titles to his credit, scored a club record-equalling five tries for Norths in a match against Easts in 1944. Bliss made his debut for NSW while playing for Manly in their inaugural season (1947). He went on to make one Test appearance, against France in 1951, but missed the club's maiden grand final appearance that year because of injury. He remained closely associated with the Manly club right up to his death in 1974.
