As a 10yr old boy, I often went with my father to the outer at Lang park, I still retain vivid memories of many of the mighty red&black games and players, none more vivid than warren Orr . It has never failed to amaze me, the sight of the entire outer rising to its feet knowing that Orr was about to receive a pass, the man didnt even have the ball in his hands, yet the expectation of what he could do was enormous, I have never seen that since of any player anywhere . Thanks for some wonderful memories mate

Warren was a brilliant winger playing for the West Panthers in the BRL in the 70s and was selected for Australia from the local Brisbane comp and Qld residents team performances. He was a big draw card for Wests and I have many memories of him beating defender after defender down the touch line scoring many tries at Lang Park (especially against the team I supported Brisbane Brothers). I don't know if he ever received the recognition he deserved, but he was a Rugby League star in his era.

Warren Orr was one of my favourite players in his era in the BRL. It was exciting watching him shed tacklers on his way to the tryline.
