Ray Batten was one of the finest ball handling forwards and creative players I have ever seen on a rugby league field. He made Leeds tick for over a decade under the late great coach Roy Francis. He was one of the main reasons why Leeds were so successful during the mid to late sixties with his wonderful ball handling skills. Ray is also one of the games gentlemen
