Keith Bentley had the ability to have been one of the greatest Widnes wingers. Sadly, Doug Laughton replaced him John Basnett who was eventually replaced by the greatest Widnes winger of all -and some would say the greatest-ever winger Martin Offiah.

Top guy funny day when I played centre to him a Rochdale we met in the pub had a few beers, off watching the game only to be told by our coach you are 3 and he is 2
We were a little shocked as we were both back from injury and had only gone along to cheer the lads on, found out after that 2 Aussies were due to play but clearance had not been obtained.
Last time I saw him he was a postman hope all is good take care.
Stewart
