A gifted fullback from Wollongong, he had all the skills. Before a series of knee injuries in 2009/10 he was probably the fastest player in the NRL. However, there was much more to his game than mere speed. His tremendous positioning and anticipation have allowed him to become one of the greatest try scorers in history, but many overlook his passing ability which has resulted in a multitude of try assists. In an era of great fullbacks, Brett Stewart is at least the equal of them all.
