Left Glebe to play for Huddersfield at the end of the 1912 NSWRL Season. Tom Gleeson died in very tragic circumstances when he dived into the ocean from rocks near La Perouse to save his 12-year-old son Martin who had already been washed off the rocks while fishing. Tom Gleeson and his son both drowned.
