Biography
Moree centre came to C’bury after representing Country in 1989. Ryan returned to Narrabri in 1993 and had already signed with Coffs Harbour in 1994 when he was lured back to the Bulldogs. He had a good season filling in at fullback but broke his arm late in the season and made the mistake of coming back too early in the grand final where the Raiders' relentless attack exposed his lack of fitness. Ryan’s experience and maturity came to the fore in C’bury’s shock 17-4 win over Manly in the 1995 grand final. A Country Origin rep in the mid-1990s, his only other rep honours was during Super League’s Tri-Series competition in 1997. After missing the club’s grand final loss to Brisbane in 1998 because of injury, Ryan left the club to captain the Nth Queensland North Queensland.
