Biography
Arncliffe junior played with four clubs during a long career, including St George in the club's grand final loss to C’bury in 1985. A NSW rep in 8 matches during 1984-87 he made one Test appearance for Australia in 1983 in NZ but declined another tour due to work commitments. Jarvis played for St Helens in 1986-87 and brought all his experience to the fore with Norths during the club's breakthrough 1991 season. He later took on a captain-coach's role with Mudgee in the Group 10 competition. An interesting adjunct to Jarvis' career is that, in his role as a policeman, he took a young kid from the streets of Marrickville and introduced him to boxing. The boy's name was Jeff Fenech.

Well, Pat was in my Initial Training Class 161 at the NSW Police Force Academy at Redfern in 1978. We would be suffering our pushups two handed & Pat would be busy matching our pushups one handed…. Made us wince…..!! A good bloke..!
