Biography
Clarence River product (Ulmarra) played for Country in 1934 while still a teenager. Felsch moved to Goulburn in 1935 as a lock before coming to Souths to stake his claim as a clever centre and inspiring captain. He led the club in the 33-4 loss to Balmain in the 1939 final (scoring all his team’s points) and although he played for NSW in 11 matches between 1938-41 (including one match against NZ in 1938), World War II undoubtedly cost him Australian Test selection.
