Biography

Souths junior missed much of the 1985-86 seasons after breaking his leg and having a knee reconstruction. Thomas asked to trial with C’bury in 1988 as a hooker and had a tremendous season which ended in the Bulldogs' 24-12 win over Balmain in the grand final. In 1991 he followed several high-profile team-mates to Wests to play under Warren Ryan. Thomas was club captain during the 1991-92 seasons but a falling out with Ryan in 1993 saw him relegated to reserve grade. He shifted to I’warra the following year before retiring from the game.
