Match Notes

Bob Banks withdrew from the Qld team late in the week with a hip injury, Duncan hall was ruled out late on Friday with the flu and was replaced by Jack Rooney with Noel Hazzard taking over as captain.

NSW lost Keith Holman also on Friday due to a finger injury and Bob Whitten flew up to Brisbane Friday afternoon as the replacement.

EE Christensens 1955 Yearbook and other publications list Banks, Hall & Holman as playing this game, they did not.
