Match Notes

This game was originally scheduled against the French Army team but was cancelled as the soldiers were unable to get leave so this game was organised in it's place by businessman Maurice Tardy owner of the Paris-Celtic team.

The team included 3 American Servicemen all Gridiron players who were playing Rugby League to keep fit, Eddy West, Walter Franklin & Richard Sorkorum.

Tardy also invited French Test players Lacaze, Eramouspe & Apelian to play.

Celtic replaced Samuel with Le Tutou early in the 2nd half which was against he rules but Australia made no objection then to the amazement of the Australians 9 mins from fulltime Samuel came back on as a replacement for Duffau.
