The PNG were extremely frustrated in the 2nd half with the score and resorted to dangerous tackling to try and even up the match one player was sent off and another to the sin bin, Wally Lewis threatened to take the team from the field if the tactics continued finally with the Qld score at 106 it was agreed to end the game with 18 minutes remaining.
