Match Notes

Four Queensland test players Mal Meninga, Wally Lewis, Mark Murray & Wally Fullerton-Smith did not arrive until the day before the game and were kept as reserves which meant a few of the Queensland team were playing out of position in the run on team. The 4 test players came on in the 2nd half and Queensland finally got on top of the Highlands team
