Bro. Bill Sullivan was scheduled to referee the match but his car broke down and he couldn't get to the ground so one of the touch judges Reg Laws was appointed to referee, Laws was the brother-in-law of North Coast captain Rocky Laurie.
Daniel Divert was sent to the sin-bin for punching early in the 2nd half then later in the half he was sent off for the same thing.
