Biography
Brilliant long-range goal-kicker, coached by former Test star Frank O'Rourke at Sydney Boys High, started his career with St George after coming through the club's junior ranks. Taylforth, who was born in England, represented NSW against NZ in 1967 before playing in the second row in C’bury’s 1967 grand final loss to Souths. He established a club point-scoring record 204pts (since bettered) that season before moving to Cronulla in the 1970s.
