Biography
After joining Wests from Junee in 1931, Bill Ryan was a reserve for NSW against Queensland and in two matches against England on the Lions' tour of 1932. He played for Metropolis against England that year before making his State debut in 1932. Returning to the country, Ryan played for Temora, Leeton and Cootamundra in 1933-34 and represented Country in 1933. 'Bricky' Ryan returned to play for St George as a centre/second row forward in 1935 and later represented Queensland in 1938 after venturing north.
